100% Pinot Noir.
Undoubtedly one of Aloxe-Corton's most coveted premiers crus.
This wine comes from only 0.28ha of vines planted on a splendid premier cru of Aloxe-Corton. The Chandon de Briailles estate has been growing them biodynamically for about 10 years. Plowing is done on horseback, with the greatest respect for the vines. Manual harvesting is followed by traditional vinification. The estate uses a good proportion of whole bunches, thus bringing extra freshness to their wines. The juice is macerated in concrete vats for 2 weeks, before being aged for 18 months on the lees, in barrels. The nectar is bottled with a minimal dose of sulphur, and without fining.
The Valozières cru blends notes of spices and ripe fruits in a most powerful bouquet. We also appreciate the volume of the wine once in the mouth. Keep it for 10 years and you will be able to appreciate melted and balanced tannins.
