The estate of Chateau de Ravignan is located in Bas-Armagnac, an exceptional terroir famous for providing the best of the appellation. The Ravignan family has remained faithful to the demands of quality and the maintenance of the great tradition of Armagnac production for nearly 3 centuries. We age our brandy at least 10 or 12 years in barrels, so that they take their beautiful golden robe, and acquire the flavors and rancio so appreciated by connoisseurs.
Colour: Slightly amber with orange and brass reflections.
Nose: Fresh and light with notes of cocoa, hazelnut, oak and candied orange.
Mouth: Delicate attack, we find chocolate and prune leaving part of a fresh and minty finish.
Each year a selection of a few vintages is made from our vast collection to offers a varied choice, representative of our taste palette: Powerful, sweet, fruity... each Armagnac lover is thus guaranteed to find lifestyle that suits their tastes.
Our Bas Armagnac vintages share a certain number of characteristics, which in our view are guarantees of quality: They are made from a blend of 4 traditional grape varieties (Ugni-blanc, Folle Blanche, Baco and Colombard). The grapes come exclusively from the Ravignan vineyard, and are from the corresponding year. Vinification and distillation are carried out on the property. Production is limited between 6000 to 7000 litres only.
