The 25 hectares vineyard is planted to 46% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, located in the southern part of the Margaux appellation, between Château Dauzac and Château Giscours. The terroir is gravel and sand.
The wine is vinified in temperature-controlled, stainless steel vats. Malolactic fermentation takes place in tank. The wine is aged in 50% new French oak barrels for 12 months before bottling.
S de Siran is their second wine, it offers violet petals on the nose, a mix of red and black fruit, the oak is nicely integrated. The palate is smooth and quite fleshy, well balanced with sappy black fruit on the finish that leaves you with a pepper aftertaste. Cheers!
