100% Syrah.
This monovarietal Syrah comes from old vines in a place called Maison-Rouge. Structured, fine and elegant, this cuvée has been the subject of special care in the vineyard thanks to exclusively manual maintenance and organic treatments.
In the cellar, vinification is done in wooden vats and open barrels. The harvest is partially destemmed. The fermentation is long: it lasts between 3 and 4 weeks. The wine is then aged for 24 months in barrels (30% new wood).
Its black ruby-purple color, its aromas of black fruits, oriental spices and empyreumatic notes sublimate this wine with assertive tannins that blend over time to offer a silky texture. Over time, and it is better to keep this wine for many years, this Côte-Rôtie develops aromas of liquorice and cigars.
A superb Côte-Rotie which has been cared for in the vineyards as well as in the cellar. Its impressive aging potential allows it to develop unexpected and extremely seductive aromatic notes.
