100% Pinot Noir from 2 parcels in Savigny Les Beaune, "Bourgeots" and "Planchots". Organic farming, no added sulfites.
This cuvée reveals a wine with expressive fruit, a bouquet of spicy plums, cherries and rose petals. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, ample and succulent, with fine chalky tannins and a subtly and mouthwateringly bitter finish.
The domaine Simon Bize has been founded in 1890, and farms 22 hectares of vines in Savigny-les-Beaune's best sites, from perfectly situated lieux-dits to the best premier cru parcels of the appellation. Their house style is whole cluster fermentation for the reds and little to no new oak on both whites and reds. Both the red and the white wines here are absolutely stellar.
