100% Pinot Noir.
Sparkly red currant tones look like sunset in the glass. Fruit-packed, it exhibits the best characteristics of a young Sancerre rosé, with raspberry and peach aromas. Full and round in the mouth, it opens up gradually, with a fresh liveliness being tempered by a hint of tannins. It finishes on fruity notes (black currant, raspberry) with a long, refreshing aftertaste of citrus fruits.
Pair it with starters and everything pink, prawn, crab, salmon, tuna, bacon, pizza... or freshwater fish and warm goat cheese salad for a local pairing.
Located in the heart of the Sancerre appellation in the village of Chavignol, Domaine Vincent Delaporte has been passed from father to son since the 17th century. It is now in the hands of 30-year-old rising star Mathieu Delaporte, who has introduced more organic farming practices and constantly improved the quality of the wines. The production wines are exclusively harvested from the 33 hectares of the property, which are planted with 75% Sauvignon Blanc, and for the rest of Pinot Noir. He is now recognised as one of the finest winemakers in Sancerre.
