    100% Pinot Noir.

Clos de Beaujeu is a clos of vines established by the monks of Beaujeu in the Middle Ages. This slope of exceptional Kimmeridgian marl terroir was the only vineyards in Sancerre to produce wine before the arrival of phylloxera vine disease. The harvest is entirely destemmed then sorted manually on the table before placing in vats. Maceration lasts about 12 days. Malolactic fermentation is carried out entirely in oak barrels that are 1 to 5 years old. The wine is bottled after 12 months of barrel ageing without filtration.

Located in the heart of the Sancerre appellation in the village of Chavignol, Domaine Vincent Delaporte has been passed from father to son since the 17th century. It is now in the hands of 30-year-old rising star Mathieu Delaporte, who has introduced more organic farming practices and constantly improved the quality of the wines. The production wines are exclusively harvested from the 33 hectares of the property, which are planted with 75% Sauvignon Blanc, and for the rest of Pinot Noir. He is now recognised as one of the finest red winemakers in Sancerre.
