"Deep purple-black colored, the 2020 La Fleur de Boüard leaps from the glass with gregarious scents of black and red cherries, mulberries and stewed black plums, plus hints of cinnamon toast and red roses. The medium to full-bodied palate offers beautiful harmony with plush tannins and seamless freshness supporting the red and black berry layers, finishing fragrant."

    The Wine Advocate : 89-91.

Château La Fleur de Boüard was born when Hubert de Boüard, co-owner of the famous Château Angélus, fell for this terroir located on the hillside facing the finest Pomerol growths.

Close to the confluence of the Dordogne and Isle rivers, the fertile soils of Château La Fleur de Boüard benefit from a sunny, warm and humid climate, ideal for growing vines.

This mild climate favors early flowering.
This is why the name “La Fleur” is so frequently used in the appellation.

Driven by the deep conviction that the terroirs of Lalande-de-Pomerol could produce exceptional wines worthy of the greatest Bordeaux appellations, he acquired the 25-hectare vineyard in 1998, now extended to 29 hectares. By adopting a precise and virtuous approach, the Fleur de Boüard team crafts wines of exceptional finesse.

Château La Fleur de Boüard is an estate nestled in the heart of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, close to the emblematic Château Pétrus. The estate offers an immersive experience to share the spirit of the place and bring out the winemaker’s soul.

The production facilities are showcased in an emotionally stimulating way, allowing visitors to experience unique moments on the estate. This new dynamic makes Château la Fleur de Boüard one of the leading estates in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation.

The cellar at Château La Fleur de Boüard, unique in the world, allows the best expression of this Lalande-de-Pomerol terroir to be extracted using a revolutionary process.

The surprising cellar is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the instinct and ambition of Hubert de Boüard and the aesthetic vision of architect Arnaud Boulain, who was responsible for the cellars at Château Angélus.

The new facilities, which combine the transparency of glass with the nobility of wood, embody this daring approach, in which nature is welcome and the quality of the work is remarkable.

The building, seamlessly integrated into the landscape of the estate, contains 28 inverted truncated cone-shaped tanks, which seem to float in the air and make ingenious use of gravity.

The unprecedented innovation of inverted and suspended truncated-cone tanks means that the berries and juices do not have to be pumped over. Once the grapes are sorted, they are taken to the tanks using a gravity system and all wine transfers are done using a lift, the first of its kind on the Right Bank.
