100% Chardonnay aged in 1 second-year and 4 third-year oak barrels, with regular batonnages throughout its elevage. Revealing aromas of freshly cut hay and charred oak, it is medium-to-full-bodied, well-balanced, with a structured core of minerals and earth. It is dense, silky-textured, extremely flavorful, and has a long, drawn out finish.

Growing in and around the Burgundy village of Fuissé, on the finest terroirs the Macon region has to offer, Domaine Cordier's 30 hectares vineyards are cultivated with the greatest respect for the grape and for the Domaine's pursuit of excellence. This is a family domaine, directed by Christophe Cordier, a winemaker determined to enhance the terroirs and coax out their full potential. The domaine produces fine white wines from the Chardonnay grape, often likened to the best Grands Crus.

The Domaine Cordier has 2 magnificent gravity-fed cellars, fully air-conditioned with humidity control in order to allow high-precision work with the greatest respect for the raw material. Beautiful and long aging on lees is carried out thanks to 4 barrel cellars. A selection of the best French oak with a very fine texture, exclusively from tall trees, are toasted in house.

The Domaine Cordier works a mosaic of 100 plots, spread over 7 municipalities scattered over the hillsides of the Mâconnais: Fuissé, Charnay-les-Mâcon, Loché, Leynes, Chasselas, Vergisson and Davayé. A mosaic of vines, a mosaic of terroirs, a real wealth for Christophe Cordier who takes pleasure in working with this diversity as if each plot were a challenge. “A difficulty in terms of logistics” he admits, but a real strategic choice for the Estate which aspires to create the greatest wines of the Mâconnais.
