A bottle of cognac to celebrate Guy Lheraud's 70th Birthday. Pastel orange color. Roasted pineapple, banana flambée. Warmly spiced with vanilla notes. Perfectly balanced flavours. Luxuriant, potent and generous.
At 48° proof ABV, the Lhéraud Vintage 1979 Petite Champagne Cognac is a powerful Cognac. It is crafted with Ugni Blanc grapes from the Petite Champagne harvest 1979.
The Petite Champagne has chalky soil that is more compact than the Grande Champagne cru, but still produces exceptional Cognacs with a lengthy finish.
Lhéraud Cognac is the definition of handmade. The label is personally signed and arrives in a striking black bottle with a black wax seal. The labels are ironed on to the bottles and the wax made on a nearby stove.
For those who enjoy the power, try it neat - perhaps allowing it to warm gently in your hand. It's equally delicious over ice.
